Agentic commerce (plain English)
“Agentic commerce” is a fancy label for a simple shift: software agents increasingly help people decide what to do next—what to click, who to call, what to book—and they often do it by reading and summarizing the web.
What changes for medical brands
Patients (and referrers) ask AI tools questions that used to start in search. If your brand isn’t retrievable, consistent, and quotable, the tool fills in the gap with someone else.
What doesn’t change
Fundamentals still matter: accurate service pages, clear location/service-area info, strong profiles, consistent citations, and content that matches real questions.
Observable actions (not buzzwords)
- Identify “discovery prompts” patients actually ask.
- Run a stable prompt pack to establish a baseline.
- Inspect citations and missing signals (site + profiles).
- Ship concrete fixes in days, not quarters.
- Verify with a comparable rerun (same pack/model/method).
- Document provenance so stakeholders can trust the delta.
